"Blast Off, Pepino!" available now!

Today is the day! Blast Off, Pepino!, the second picture book in the Pepino the Pup series, is now available on Amazon!

I'm equal parts excited and relieved to finally see this project out in the world. The original plan was to release it in July to coincide with the anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, but as you can tell from today’s date, that didn’t quite happen. Life got busy, I lost momentum, and the book sat about 80% complete for months.

In September, I decided I would finish it before year’s end, and I spent most evenings working on the remaining illustrations after putting my son to bed. Despite being something of an act of brute force, those illustrations ended up becoming some of my favorites. I saved the final page spread of Pepino on the moon for last. It felt fitting to complete my mission with an illustration of Pepino completing his.
